Over 200 new and existing BWiC members gathered at the Black Women in Technical Roles reception at the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing on September 27, 2018. Leadership from the AnitaB.org stopped by to address attendees including President & CEO, Brenda Darden Wilkerson. Dr. Loretta Cheeks gave a talk on self-love and care and we spent the entire evening networking and celebrating our accomplishments within the community.

BWiC recently hosted a game development workshop focusing on Cybercitizenship immediately following the ACM Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing.
